Wedding in the Desert - Borrego Springs

While researching wildflower viewing in Southern California, I came across Borrego Springs, a resort area which would serve as a perfect place for a desert wedding. Home to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Borrego Springs is only 2 hours from San Diego and 3 hours from Los Angeles.

If you've never been to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park you're really missing out. It's the largest desert state park in the contiguous United States, boasting 750,000 acres, 2 wilderness areas and 110 miles of riding and hiking trails.

The town of Borrego Springs is also home to many artists and their galleries, much like Santa Fe, as well as several golf courses and a few nearby Native American casinos. Borrego Springs is also a fabulous place to view the night sky. In fact, the region has been nominated as a Dark Sky Community by the International Dark Sky Association due to the absence of light pollution.
